Approach

Newborn photography is the part of this work I love most. There is no going back for those first two weeks, and nobody quite remembers on their own how small and squishy they really were. That is the whole reason I do this.

Sessions run out of my home studio, which is stocked with everything a baby could need for a session, so all you bring is the baby. Nothing is rushed. We stop to feed and settle as many times as it takes, and I would far rather get the picture slowly than push a newborn through a schedule.

Maternity, kiddos and family sessions work the same way, in the studio or out around West Texas. No stiff poses and no forced smiles. What I am after is the way your people actually are with each other, which is the thing you will want to look at in ten years.
